Mental Health Europe Conference

SUPPORT Project staff joined delegates from across the spectrum of mental health interests in Europe and beyond attended the Mental Health Europe conference in Vienna.

SUPPORT was invited to give a keynote presentation at the start of a panel discussion session, and project staff met delegates and promoted the forthcoming EU Mental Health Strategy.

The conference was preceded by a Capacity Building Seminar for members of MHE, which was supported by the Social Inclusion Unit of DG-EMPL. This brought together around thirty organisations, to discuss how best to network to reduce the social exclusion on people with mental health problems.

Conference sessions covered a range of topics, and delegates were given a keynote address by Professor Graham Thornicroft.
