Mental wellbeing of children in primary education

Children's social and emotional wellbeing is important as it affects their physical health and can determine how well they do in school.  Strong social, emotional and psychological health helps protect children against emotional and behavioural problems, violence and crime, teenage pregnancy and the misues of drugs and alcohol.

This guidance information helps to complement and support the NICE guidance on depression in children and young people.
