EU Mental Health Pact Launched
The EU Pact for Mental Health and Well-being has been launched by Commissioner Vassiliou at a High Level Conference on mental health held in Brussels on June 13th.
A landmark conference on mental health has been held in Brussels, to launch the EU Pact for Mental Health and Well-being. Full details of the event are available from the European Commission website.
Four consensus papers have been produced by a consortium led by GENCAT and involving the SUPPORT Project. These papers have been produced for the four thematic topics of the pact. A wide range of stakeholders had the opportunity to contribute to this work. A research paper on stigma and discrimination was also provided to delegates.The consensus papers were summarised in a series of Policy Briefs in each area.
A SUPPORT project paper was launched at the event. The Background Paper on Key Facts, Figures and Activites in Mental Health gives an overview of available data and some examples of EU supported activities in mental health undertaken to date.
