POMONA II Project Update
The survey protocol that operationalises the Pomona 18 set of health indicators for people with intellectual disabilities has been finalised, with copyright where required.
It has been translated into 13 European languages and validated. Ethical approval has been obtained or, in a few countries, will soon be obtained. Country Reports have been completed in 13 of 14 Member States.
The major task for 2007 is to gather survey data among samples of participants in 14 countries. Now, sampling frames are being submitted to the leaders (the Netherlands and Germany) of this work package.
Pilot data was obtained from most countries and is being analysed by leaders of this work package (UK).

Findings of the pilot study will be presented at the IASSID Physical Health Roundtable in Prato, Italy 21-23 May 2007.

An article on the project’s methodology by Lantman, Linehan et al appears in the current issue of Journal of Intellectual Disability Research.
